Style sheets are a great asset - I use them all the time. In InDesign if you want to set up a quick paragraph style, the simplest and quickest way to do it is to style your paragraph exactly the way you want it. Font, leading, indent, whatever. Then, while leaving your cursor in the paragraph, select the New Style icon in the paragraph panel and InDesign will automatically capture all that information and put it into a new paragraph style. Unfortunately, it will give your new style a generic name like "Paragraph Style 1" unless you know the trick of holding down the option key while selecting the New Style button. If you do that, and you want to, it will open the New Style dialog box and allow you to immediately type in whatever name you want to call your new style. Try it!
